Quick answers to the most common questions about Fovea.
All of your data stays on your device. Fovea requires no account and connects to no server — your medications, logs, and reports are stored exclusively on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework, and are never shared or transmitted. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Go to your medication list and add each drop with its name, target eye, dose times, wait times, and cap color. You can drag and drop to set the correct sequence for medications taken in order, and Fovea will flag any doses scheduled less than three hours apart.
After each drop, Fovea runs a clinically recommended 60-second pause (punctal occlusion) to help maximize absorption. For sequential drops, configurable wait-time countdowns help ensure each drop is spaced correctly so they don't wash one another out. These timings support, but never replace, your doctor's instructions.
Open the Insights section and generate your Doctor's Report. It compiles your adherence rate, punctuality score, symptom frequency, skipped-dose summaries, and lifestyle averages into a structured format you can review and discuss with your ophthalmologist or optometrist at your next appointment.
You can log symptoms such as redness, blurriness, soreness, and headache after each dose, plus stress and sleep scores and free-text notes. Your monthly calendar shows adherence, symptoms, and missed doses at a glance, with full drill-down into every dose by time block.
Yes. Because everything runs and is stored on your device, Fovea works fully offline. No account or sign-in is required.
The assistant answers general questions about glaucoma and proper eye drop technique, and clearly flags urgent symptoms for safety. It is educational only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. For anything specific to your condition, please contact your eye care professional.
Because Fovea stores data only on your device for privacy, your information is included in your device backups (such as iCloud or encrypted local backups). Restoring your iPhone from a backup will restore your Fovea data. If you set up a new phone without a backup, previous data cannot be recovered. We recommend keeping device backups enabled.
