Fovea is built with privacy by design. It is a glaucoma management app that helps you administer medication correctly, track adherence and symptoms, learn about your condition, and prepare for appointments. To do this, Fovea works entirely on your device.
We do not collect, store, or have access to any personal information. Fovea does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not operate any server that receives your data.
The information you enter — including your medications, dose schedules, adherence records, symptom and lifestyle logs, notes, and generated reports — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device through Fovea and is never shared or transmitted to us or any third party.
Because your data lives on your device, it may be included in your own device backups (such as iCloud Backup or an encrypted local backup). Those backups are controlled entirely by you through Apple's services and settings, under Apple's terms and privacy policy — not by Fovea. We have no access to them.
Fovea contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party trackers. We do not use cookies or any similar technologies. The app's educational resources directory may link to external websites (such as booklets, videos, helplines, and support organizations); once you follow such a link, the privacy practices of that external site apply, and we encourage you to review their policies.
Fovea does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no data is transmitted or collected by us, there is no information for us to knowingly receive or retain.
Fovea is a personal tracking and education tool and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Always follow the instructions of your eye care professional, and seek urgent medical care for sudden vision changes, severe eye pain, or other emergency symptoms.
If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Because Fovea's design is to collect no data, we expect any changes to be minimal.
